“Collapsing Silence” is a performance collaboration on the dismantling of human communication. Structured in seven fragments, “Collapsing Silence” combines the mediums of dance and movement, video, sound and text to investigate the restructuring of communication after it has become disoriented by a catastrophic event. “Collapsing Silence” explores the variables between silence and silenced. Responding to our hyperactive awareness of impermanence after such an event, this project examines our fundamental desire for connection.  This project is made possible by a grant from The Creative Communities Fund.
